Our first meeting of 2012 will be February 11th at USC with a paleoclimatologist, Lowell Stott! We will have this meeting in the Science Building at USC. There will be a pre-meeting dinner at http://www.moretonfig.com/Events/Reservations next to the Science Building. This should be a fascinating meeting. Make sure you mark your smart phone calendars.

JUDGES NEEDED FOR LOS ANGELES COUNTY SCIENCE FAIR
2011-2012 L.A. CHAPTER ANNUAL RAINFALL CONTEST!
Another year has passed and it's that time again when we announce the rainfall contest. The contest is open to all our chapter members (paid or otherwise, preferably paid). The entry that guesses the amount of rainfall downtown (USC) since July 1st closest to the actual recorded amount at either the time of the banquet (May or June) or the end of the rain year, June 30th, whichever comes first will win a prize. Rainfall guesses will be posted here in the coming months as they come in.
